Can you fit two fists in your mouth at the same time?

Anything that falls into Gage's hands goes right to her mouth. She is most excited when she has both fists to suck on at once. She is also thrilled that there is now a mirror on her jumper. Every time she goes in it she is thrilled to find this "other baby" smiling back at her. ( and no kidding... the other baby sucks her fists as Gage does).

Two weeks left at school and then off to North Carolina and beach time with the Calhouns!

updating...

A few new updates...
Learning to navigate the blanket on my tummy...
Sleeping after a busy morning of reading...
Me in my new diapers - the perfect brand (gdiapers) because all of my diapers now have "g"s on them. We like to pretend that the "g" is for Gage of course!
Me all dressed up for "sit down dinner" at Deerfield.

Lots of love, Gage.

Peek-A-Boo

While Gage's laughter has become more frequent (Daddy's jokes must be getting better!), we haven't been able to capture video evidence thus far. Unlike Bigfoot and The Loch Ness Monster, the laugh has finally and definitively been documented. We had played Peek-A-Boo a few times but this is the first time she found it amusing! I hope you all enjoy the show.

Giggles and grass under toe

Gage felt warm grass under her toes today - we played on the lawn outside the dorm. It's gorgeous in Deerfield. Luca enjoyed the cookies Gage had for him on her blanket and mom enjoyed being outside and not bundled up! We caught her second full on laugh ever on video while we were in NH this weekend (I think she was laughing at mom's out of key singing) and as soon as we can figure out how to post it, we will - it's awesome (not the singing, the laughing). We've moved in to our first house and it is just as exciting as we thought it would be. Donuts, coffee, and beer seemed to be the staples (the kitchen isn't quite ready yet) but they were enough to keep us building furniture for 2.5 days almost straight this past weekend. All are welcome ...but know that you may be put to work!

hop hop hippity

It's Gage's favorite song (hop hop hippity) and her new favorite thing to do! The jumper is brand new today (in an effort to keep her off her very flat head) and she was all grins from the moment she jumped into it. Things are a whole lot busier these days (hence the fewer posts) but Gage has been very happy with Mrs. Chin and I'm back to teaching. I have my prep periods spread out throughout the day so have a chance to come home and feed her once and break up the long absence from my peanut. While I hate leaving her in the morning, there's nothing quite like walking into my living room after classes to see her light up and smile when she spots me. Rich, Gage and I have been back and forth to our new house... it's almost done! I've attached a few of the photos we took this weekend.

Opening Days 2008

Gage and I spent some serious "couch potato" time early this week watching the two opening Red Sox games taking place in Japan. While I took a few years in New England before taking the plunge and cheering for Boston teams, I'm hoping Gage will be a Sox fan for life. Taking Gage to her first game at Fenway is something I will be anticipating for a few years! Thank you Aunt Lindsey for the awesome gift, a Big Papi jersey for my Hijita!

Baseball season is here and Aunt Lindsey has got me all decked out and prepared! Yah that's me in my Big Poppy tee... :)
